The Northern Cape’s Desert Raisins Farmstall

The Desert Raisins Farmstall in Kakamas is a welcome treat for travellers looking for a refreshing pit stop along the N14 towards Augrabies.

The stall stocks a wide range of seasonal fruits, dried fruit and nuts, biltong, wines, rose quartz, and curios and gifts.

The treats sold at Desert Raisins are ideal for long drives, and visitors can stretch their legs and take in the lovely scenery of the valley when stopping at the stall.

Kakamas, a lush valley near the Orange River, boasts numerous vineyards, and cotton and lucerne fields.

Vineyards in the region stretch almost 300km along both sides of the river and pass through Groblershoop, Upington, Keimoes, Kakamas and Grootdrink.
