Northern Cape: ‡Khomani Cultural Landscape World Heritage Site in pictures

The historic ‡Khomani Cultural Landscape was inscribed as a World Heritage Site in July this year. This brings to two the number of World Heritage Sites in the province of extremes, the other being the Richtersveld Cultural and Botanical Landscape. The other seven World Heritage Sites in South Africa are: Fossil Hominid Sites of South Africa; Maloti-Drakensberg Park; Mapungubwe Cultural Landscape; Vredefort Dome; Robben Island; iSimangaliso Wetland Park; and the Cape Floral Region Protected Areas.
