The best of the #NorthernCapeSummer

February 28, 2017  —

The Northern Cape is a wonderful place to be in the summer. Below are some pictures showing why.

The outskirts of Kimberley, Northern Cape's capital city, after getting some much-needed rain (below). Kimberley is also home to the popular Big Hole.

Springbok is the perfect place to enjoy walks. It is situated in Namaqualand, and where you can see natural wonders as well as historical architecture.

The 56m-high Augrabies Falls are one of the treasures of the Northern Cape, along with the Augrabies Falls National Park. Riemvasmaak, next to the Orange River, is also another great place to visit.

Below is a kokerboom (quiver tree), unique to Southern Africa, in Keimoes, halfway between Kakamas and Upington.
