These extreme events have solidified the Northern Cape’s reputation as a premier adventure and extreme sports destination. This winter the province
is once again serving up some of the best sporting adventures

The Trans-Augrabies Mountain Bike Race is taking place from 15 – 17 June. The 3-Day Stage Race will run from Riemvasmaak to Kanoneiland and cover
more than 260 Kilometers over several types of terrain.

It will take riders through the majestic Green Kalahari region of South Africa, following the unique landscapes that make up the Augrabies Falls National
Park, the legendary community of Riemvasmaak, and the wild landscapes of Khamkirri.

Later this year, sports enthusiasts can look forward to the annual Orange Decent Canoe Race. This 2 Day stage race, covering 54km of great river
paddling, promises to be everything you’ve dreamt of and much more for paddlers and seconds alike!
