KIMBERLEY TOWN AND COUNTRY MARKET

Having moved from the outskirts of Kimberley, the diamond capital of South Africa, this little market has grown in leaps and bounds as it is now situated more centrally and conveniently on the lawns of Queens Park. This market evolved from the original Bean se Bos Country Market. Today, it is a fabulous place for the entire family to meet to enjoy the fresh air and the dappled shade cast by the trees.

The Kimberley Town and Country Market, in the Northern Cape, pivots on the theme of “made, sewn, baked and grown” goods. So, food, beverages, arts and crafts all adhere to one or more of these criteria. Visitors can look forward to artisan cheeses and breads, speciality baked treats, homemade rusks and biscuits, pancakes, samoosas, olives, game meat, fresh produce and more. The crafts are too numerous to mention and include décor items, clothing, accessories, jewellery, furniture and unique pieces of art.

There are about 30 stalls at this market, as well as live entertainment and great competitions. After a morning spent exploring all of the little treasures, visitors are invited to relax at the coffee garden and enjoy a refreshing cuppa.

The Kimberley Town and Country Market is open on the second Saturday of every month, from 09h00 to 14h00.
